Display, Design & Build

This AGPtek tablet display measures 7 inch diagonally having screen resolution of 800×480 pixels. The display of this device is 5 point multi touch capacitive touch screen providing support for gesture inputs like pinch to zoom, etc. Surprisingly, the display is responsive, crisp and clear. However, those who have used high end tablets may find it difficult to get use to the touch screen.

The AGPtek tablet pc measures 7.56 x 4.80 x 0.49 inches in dimensions and weigh just 12.6 ounces. It has 3 physical buttons, home, back, and menu buttons. The build quality is also decent for a tablet priced low like this one.

Performance & Gaming

The tablet features ARM Cortex A9 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz and Vivante G800 as it GPU accompanied by 512MB DDR3 RAM.  The device is able to run 3D games like Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, Temple Run, Minecraft, Flow with no lagging or glitches. However, expect few glitches here and there occasionally. The only thing you can do to avoid this is by trying not to run too many apps at once, and also by keeping in mind the limitation of the low performing hardware of this device. Although, the hardware is good for its price, but, its still not very powerful compared to other tablets like Asus Google Nexus 7, which is priced almost 2.5 times than this AGPtek tablet pc.

Multimedia

The tablet supports most of the popular video formats, like AVI, MPG, MKV, RM, RMVB, MP4, MOV, VOB, DAT, FLV, TS, 3GP, WEBM and audio formats like MP3, WMA, WAV, OGG, OGA, APE, FLAC, AAC, M4A, 3GPP . Moreover, it comes with a mini HDMI port, which provides the facility of viewing HD videos on larger HDTV screen. It also don’t disappoint when playing HD videos as the HD video playback is smooth. However, the speakers are not very loud, so, use headphones instead when listening is the priority.

The AGPtek tablet pc comes with 4GB of fixed internal storage space which can be expanded further using a Micro SD card. Great for multimedia lovers.

Connectivity & Storage Space

For connecting this device to Internet, it comes with WiFi 802.11b/g/n support providing speed of 150Mbps and 3G USB dongle(WCDMA,EVDO,TD-SCDMA) support via its OTG compatible USB port. This USB port can also be used for connecting devices like USB keyboard, USB mouse, etc. to this tablet pc.

Camera & Web Browsing

The AGPtek tablet pc features a low resolution, 0.3MP front facing camera, just good enough for Skype video calls. Don’t think of buying this if doing photography is even little bit of priority as it produces poor quality pics.

The stock web browser also loads page nicely, and even allows to watch flash videos from sites like YouTube.
